Theme Weddings
The theme wedding is becoming more and more popular with our brides. Brides wanted to know what the latest trend in theme weddings were going to be this year. The monogrammed wedding and reception is very popular this year. Start out with your monogram on your invitations. We have had brides ask us to add their new initial on the ribbons of their bridal bouquet. Next come the touches added to the reception. A flower centerpiece in the shape of their new initial is a simple but elegant touch to the reception table. Complete this with monogrammed table napkins. Next add a monogrammed wedding cake or some monogrammed sugar cookies. You can add as much as you want to this theme. The possibilities are endless.
The beach theme is the ever popular theme. Some brides are afraid of this theme because it seems a bit too casual. Remember the beach theme can be casual but still classy. A few shells in a traditional bridal bouquet can give a nice beach look. A very tropical bouquet can work also. Even to use a color scheme of beach colors works (Ex. Beige and blue). Any of our bouquets can have shells added to them for a beach or seaside wedding theme.
Another new trend is the use of very bright colors. The colors lime and hot pink being very big. A splash of bright color goes a long way toward a very lasting impression and a dramatic look. Other color combinations you might consider are orange and purple mixed with the lime. Tangerine being a new color in gowns would go nicely with purple and green bouquets.
Still popular is silver, gold or sparkles of any kind added to the wedding. The Hollywood Glamour look. Mirrors under our sterling rose centerpieces add a reflective quality that won’t break you budget and still give you a nice look.
How about a vintage theme? Start out with one of our traditional bouquets and centerpieces. Maybe you would want us to add some pearls. The addition of some vintage touches would be great with this theme. Use lace and antique dishware. It doesn’t have to match. It actually looks better if it doesn’t. This would be wonderful for the brides who are considering wearing a wedding gown passed down to them by a family member.
The state of the economy is making us all be a bit more creative. It doesn’t mean we have to give up our dream wedding. We just have to find alternatives, be more creative and think outside the box. Many beautiful weddings have been planned like this. This is how a trend is created.
